Three weeks

It's now been three weeks since I began this crazy idea that is getting my degree in medicine.

A year later than I had planned. And that is why I am the Blissful Med Student: I know how lucky I am to be where I am. No matter how hard it is, I have experience how much harder it is not to do it.

Three weeks of medicine. And so many more to come.

I look forward to laughing at my experiences on this blog. I look forward to frustration and stress when I feel like I don't have enough time to do it all. I look forward to passing milestones, to passing exams and, well, don't look forward to failing exams but I guess it might happen. I look forward to more and more of the excitement that is studying the human body, to the downright crazy patients and the stories that they'll tell, even (gasp!) to being tortured a little when I do my residency.

These next 11 years (aproximately) will be amazing. I know it. So here's to the future. After all, I'm going to be the Blissful Med Student for a long time.
